reviewing a source

looking over the august 2010 edition of Seventeen magazine, I came across an article called "Look Hot In Your Jeans". This drew my attention immediatley because I live in denim. Basically, what the editors at Seventeen took a bunch of new rising styles of what to wear with simple jeans. For example, puff sleeved, cup sleeved, and sequined shirts with any regular blues. That, in particular, was eye catchy because that is a trend I follow almst everyday..a cute tee or top with different pairs of denim.
But I wasnt pleased with the cobweb sweaters to pair up with denim. I cant stand cobweb sweaters. They look like moth eaten pieces that youve kept in your closet for years. Also, they tried to incorporate the overzsized utility jacket with denim. I HATE THOSE JACKETS!! They look like something a bum would wear...so un-chic! But they did have short cropped jackets and leather jackets to wear with your jeans, and I find that hot, because it is personally my style.
Even though they did a good job dressing up the models and choosing the denim, all the models are thin. There isn't a single chubby girl in this article. I find that rather bizarre because everyone wears denim, not just skinny models. This article should have put different denim styles for girls with different shapes. But I did like the fact that they added 7 for all mankind denim, which is by far my favorite brand of jeans.

FASHION ALERT: interview reveals all

I conducted an interview with the Associate Marketing Publisher of Harper's Bazaar magazine, Freeda Fawal Farah. For those of you who don't know, Harper's Bazaar is a magazine about the world of fashion, releasing the latest up to date trends, and even if you pick up a December magazine, it will let you know whats hot for spring...I interviewed Freeda because she is up to date with the latest trends...and she pulls them off amazingly. The interview went quite well, while she was at her office at the Hearst building in Columbus Circle.

Me: Heyy whats going on?
Freeda: Hey how is everything? How's school?
Me: It's fine....(more talk)....what are some of the new fashion trends that are in for fall 2010?
Freeda: Hmm..lets see... animal and leopard print is big this season...as well as Red lips (Loreal infallible Never Fail Lipcolour). Camel colored coats are in trend this season, as well as modern minimalistic accessories.
Me: oooh that sounds hott...but let me ask you. Combat boots are in this season and I see women of different ages rock them. Do you think there is an age group limit, or can any woman of any age wear them?
Freeda: Definitely any age...here at Harper's Bazaar we try to follow a "Fabulous at every age" program where we take trends and adopt them to every age group, and that's the whole point is to take a trend and make it so that a twenty year and and a sixty year old can wear them.
Me: Interesting. Do you get to meet the celebrities that come for the cover shoot, and if you do, do they come dressed casually or are they a head-to-toe fashionista?
Freeda: They definitely come dressed casually, they usually come hungover and come dressed very simple. Then we take them and they get transformed by the makeup artists and fashion people here at Harper's Bazaar.
Me: Wow (lol) seriously? Ok, so are you a fan of the trench coat, and if so, do you recommend it for ladies of any size?
Freeda: Any size is fine, but the trench is essential. And for fall, camel colored trench is in.
Me: Awesome! Thank you for your time!

And so...that is how it went. She happens to be my aunt, so if anyone has any questions feel free to ask me and I'll ask her....and no you cannot get an autograph of Lady Gaga...that's for me only :)

michelle obama is always up to date with the latest trends
release your inner kitty cat lol

red lips are hot- for any season

some 1000c blogsss...

These are some blogs from 1000c that kind of relate to fashion, although not fashion itself, but it is still in the world of creativity, thinking, and arts...

http://chiotaki92.blogspot.com - Angie's blog is very interesting and helpful. Its mainly about relationships with friends and romantic relationships. She gives examples in her blogs, whether it may be from an outside source or events that actually occurred in her life. Her blogs talk about whether one should pursue distant relationships, whether one would choose friends over boyfriends, etc. I think, that if one has great taste in fashion, they should also have a great taste in friends... :)

http://technation311.blogspot.com/ - Although this has nothing to do whatsoever with fashion, Nathan's blog is helpful and is eye catchy to the tech freaks out there. I'm not a tech person myself, but its very interesting and funny to watch how the technology world and the fashion world are growing and competing with one another.  And its in the world of arts and class, so you know you're the shit when your clad in designer holding an itouch :p

http://suzayyychill.blogspot.com/ - this n*gga Suzie's blog is cool...because music and fashion go hand in hand. Runways always include the latest hip moving beats, and wherever you go, which ever store you're at, music is always blasting. I also think, for this topic as well, that whoever has a great taste in fashion has great taste in music as well, and people tend to dress to the type of music they mainly listen to.

you turn heads, I break neckss ;]

POLL QUESTION: Say I only have enough money to spend on only one of these items,
GIRLS: which would you choose? GUYS: which looks the most attractive on a girl?

-true religions
-burberry rainboots
-tiffany earrings
-a navy or light pink juicy suit
-a pair of chestnut or maybe another style of uggs

gimme your opinions!!!
ughh these earrings are to die for...

ED HARDYY for menn

From the point of view of a girl, I find Ed Hardy designs to be most appealing on males. The unique and manly designs as well as the fitting of the shirt is attractive as well as trendy and designer. Affliction is also a hot brand, but after I saw it last night on an overweight man i changed my point of view.
Anyway, Ed Hardy is a brand made by French Artist Christian Audigier based on the tattoo designs of Don Ed Hardy, who is one of the best tattoo artists in the world. His famous Japanese-American style designs were an inspiration to Audigier and thus made a clothing line using his designs.
Many celebrities are spotted rocking Ed Hardy, but everyday I see guys wearing Ed Hardy and I personally find it appealing as well as better looking than baggy jeans and hoodies and huge shirts. "It has a BAMF/rocker vibe to it & I guess it's supposed to make guys look masculine" says a source.

Sweaters like these look sickk

this shirt is fitted, so it looks more appealing.
